Docman™ was the
brainchild of ORS IT
Managing Director, Fred
Easton. As previously
noted, Fred has been
an OH&S consultant
for a number of years
and has developed a large
number of safety management
systems for a variety
of small and large clients
throughout Australia
and internationally.
During this time, Fred
became aware of a number
of client needs that
were not being met and
inefficiencies within
the consultancy sector.
When a client engages
a consultant to develop
work systems, whether
they be human resource,
project management, tenders,
contracts or occupational
safety and health, clients
expect these services
to be developed and delivered
on time and to the required
standard.
From the consultancy
perspective, time spent
developing documentation
can be very inefficient
and there is scope for
too many errors -
affecting reputation
and the organisation's
level of professional
risk.
With this in mind a
need was recognised for
a document creation and
management tool that
satisfied all requirements
or both the client
and the consultant.
Docman™ has taken
approximately two years
to develop and has slashed
document development
time by up to 80%. The
benefits are significant
and focus on key business
drivers - customer satisfaction
and efficiency ie,
profitability.
